About Maureen Riebel:

As a wedding planner in San Antonio, I am totally blessed when I see that young woman, who first meets me – dressed in jeans, halter top and sandals - now ready to slip into a gorgeous bridal gown ~ hair all feted and make-up just perfect. She is surrounded by all those that love and care for her ~ making sure her day is just perfect! I almost cry as Daddy first sees his baby ~ ready to become a bride! I am so fortunate that I am able to live out my passion and witness stories of happiness and love. Let Elegant Events share its passion for service and excellence with you! Maureen Riebel was raised on Long Island, New York. She has both the big city girl as well as the Texan ranch girl in her heart and spirit. Maureen attended college in western Pennsylvania and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in education. So how did she get into the wedding planning and design? After many years of being a leader and organizer in many aspects of her life, Maureen helped plan her two eldest sons weddings in the year 2000.  The two weddings were only seven weeks apart. “It was a lot of fun doing the planning. If the stress from planning a wedding turns into fun, then it is something I should do.  It is a gift from God, and I want to do it to His glory.” Maureen has been trained by Wedding Careers as well as taken courses through the Association of Bridal Consultants. Maureen turned her passion and creativity into Elegant Events in 2002 – a comprehensive wedding planning and event consultation firm. Maureen’s desire for perfection and a happy, stress free bride are what energize her for every wedding! “My personal commitment is to satisfy every bride!”

Maureen Riebel has 8 years of industry experience as a wedding coordinator and event designer in the San Antonio and Hill Country area.

Certifications
As a consummate professional, Maureen recognizes the value in continuing education. She has completed a comprehensive training course from the Wedding Careers Institute, Inc. (WCII), based in Houston, Texas, as-well-as training with the ABC.

About Jennifer Burgess:

Like most little girls, I always dreamed about someday being a beautiful bride. I imagined what my dress would look like and who my groom would be. When I finally got my chance to turn my dreams into reality 10 years ago, I had no idea how much planning would go into making this day into the picture perfect wedding. Like many brides, I made the mistake of assuming that my mother and I could handle the challenge ourselves. After months of planning, we were exhausted and strung out.

I’ve been married for 10 years to my wonderful husband Jason. Together we have a son, Collyn, who is 5 years old.

I graduated from Pensacola Christian College in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. I worked for years in various vocations managing offices and was always that “go to” person everyone relied upon.

I never considered a career in event planning, yet I was always the one family and friends would call for planning parties, showers and weddings. I always had a knack for details and was known for being a perfectionist. I enjoyed it! I started working for Maureen at Elegant Events nearly 4 years ago part-time assisting in office and on site. In August of 2009, I was able to go into event planning full-time. It’s a rewarding career being a part of one of the most important days in a couple’s life. Every bride is different. Every wedding is unique. It is exciting to see how the couple’s personality comes out into the design or theme of their wedding. It’s an exciting time to be in the wedding industry.
